- Salary: Level 13 of the Pay Matrix with initial Basic Pay of Rs.1,23,100/-
- Qualification: A Degree in Law of a University in India recognized by the Bar Council of India or by any State Bar Council for enrollment as an Advocate. Master’s Degree in Library Science of a recognized University. Diploma in Computer Application recognized by AICTE/DOEACC or equivalent or Library Automation Course. Knowledge of computer operation.
- Experience Required: Minimum 4 years’ experience as Chief Librarian or in an equivalent post (in Level 12 of the Pay Matrix) in any prestigious Library.

The Supreme Court of India is seeking candidates for the position of Director (Library) in New Delhi. Applicants must have a law degree recognized by the Bar Council of India, a Master’s Degree in Library Science, and a diploma in Computer Application or Library Automation Course. They should also possess knowledge of computer operation and specialized knowledge in conducting research work regarding legal matters, documentation work, preparing bibliographies of cases, and examining and disseminating legal articles. Experience requirements include a minimum of 4 years as Chief Librarian or equivalent, or 7 years’ composite experience with at least 2 years as Chief Librarian and as Librarian, or 10 years as Librarian. Candidates should be at least 40 years old as of 01.02.2024. The application form can be downloaded from the Supreme Court of India website, and the deadline for applications is 11.03.2024.
